Hello, my name is Alejandra Pérez, I learned the art of creating with my hands from a very early age, from the beginning I knew that this was the path I wanted to take, however, over the years I had the opportunity to experience various skills but always oriented towards Design.
I studied architecture in my native country (Venezuela), shortly after I learned one of the most challenging skills: being a MOM. In 2013 our first son, Fabian, was born, who has also played an important role not only in our lives but also in our careers.
Years later I dedicated myself to Interior Design with my husband, Alejandro, together we formed an incredible gear, and we quickly realized that we could achieve almost anything we set out to do.
In 2016 I told him about my passion for handbags. I loved creating dream spaces for our clients, but in the bottom of my heart, I knew that creating with my own hands what was in my mind was what I wanted to do. That’s when I started my journey, I designed and created my first prototypes, I tried different materials, combining techniques, colors, textures, shapes, models, I didn’t stop creating for 7 continuous years, I worked with exclusive clients on unique pieces, I became an expert in printing every detail, every cut, every bow, every seam, until one day a client asked me to design a handbag combining two techniques: crochet and leather.
It was a challenge, at first, I handled one of the techniques like an expert, but on the other hand, the leather challenged me, no one had ever explained anything to me about leather before, I had never even imagined working with it before, so I quickly began to investigate and do my first practices. I studied each step, I practiced over and over each cut, each stitch, each detail, I fell in love with the nobility that only leather can have, with each imperfection, with each fold, with the soft and intense smell so characteristic, not to mention the final finish and the durability that a piece can have.
In 2023, many changes came to our lives. We moved to Canada, where we met wonderful people. We were in the midst of adapting when we found out that our second child, Mía, was on the way. At the same time, without realizing it, we were already giving birth to what we called our third child, Charlotte. Ale joined me to accompany me throughout the process. He discovered that the art of leatherwork was a wonderful world and quickly became an expert. Always being so demanding and perfectionist, he worked tirelessly to learn and polish every technique and every detail. He came to set our gears in motion once again and together, making a balanced team, combining our skills and experience, we have managed to make our most elaborate designs and dreams come true.
